ICMP London to Host Postgraduate Exchange Symposium This Summer
The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) in London is opening its doors for a dynamic Postgraduate Exchange Symposium, a knowledge-sharing and networking event designed to inspire and connect aspiring MA and MMus students ahead of their studies starting this September.
Taking place at ICMP’s Queen’s Park campus (76-78 Salusbury Road, London NW6 6PA), the event promises a full afternoon of interactive sessions, live performance insights, and networking opportunities that showcase the breadth of ICMP’s postgraduate offerings, from performance and songwriting to production and the music business.

The agenda kicks off at 4:00 PM with a warm welcome followed by a live session titled “From Stage to Study: Turning Performance into Research” led by Lucinda Allen, encouraging attendees to translate their creative instincts into meaningful academic exploration.
At 4:30 PM, Sophie Daniels takes the spotlight with “Creative Collaboration for Songwriters”, followed by a networking break at 5:00 PM, complete with refreshments and a chance to meet fellow postgrads and ICMP faculty.
Evening sessions include:
6:00 PM – “Innovative Approaches to Music Creation” with Lia Mice, focusing on fresh, boundary-pushing techniques in music production.
6:30 PM – “The Modern Music Business – Unlocking Potential Through Knowledge” by Neil March, which delves into real-world strategies for navigating today’s complex industry landscape.
